This Honey is made by bees collecting nectar from heather located in bogs (Bell & Ling Heather) which has a very distinct deep flavour. According to research and analysis by Dublin Universities Irish Heather honey contains the highest level of beneficial antioxidants and compares with Manuka Honey

The honey is collected and cold filtered (it is neither heated or pasteurised) meaning it is a live food containing Bee Pollen, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, Propolis, which is a glue-like substance that helps keep the hive together and is said to have antiseptic and antibacterial properties.
