Fume Pads

Description

Made from very absorbent “beer mat” material . Ideal for use with such chemicals as benzaldehyde and acetic acid.

1. Prepare: Get your fume board, smoker, beekeeping gear, and your clearing product.
2. Smoke bees: Light smoker and puff smoke at the hive entrance.
3. Apply product: Put a light coat of your chosen product on the fume pad.
4. Remove covers: Take off the hive roof and move the crownboard to below the super.
5. Place the fume board on the hive: On top of the super frames.
6. Wait: Bees will leave the honey super, and move down into the bottom of the hive.
7. Harvest: Remove honey super and collect honey if desired.
