Description

Before victorian times most beekeepers krpt bee in skeps.

A few beekeepers still keep bees in skeps today, although these days, they are mostly used for collecting swarms of bees and for decoration in the home or garden. Some people have also had success with providing the skeps as a home for certain species of bumble bee.
